On 12th December 2017, Nishiawa Beef Ltd. have officially certified as the first Halal dedicated slaughter house in Tokushima by the Muslim Professional Japan Association (MPJA).
After going through strict requirement and series of inspection by MPJA, Nishiawa Beef is qualified to gained the Halal Certification. Since then, MPJA auditors have been monitoring the slaughter house’s slaughtering process from the beginning until the meats are packed and stored to assure they comply with the halal standards set by MPJA.

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the number of Indonesians visiting jumped from 63,617 in 2009 to 136,797 in 2013, while the number of Malaysian tourists to Japan doubled from 89,509 in 2009 to 176,521 in 2014.
The slaughter house plans to penetrate the international market by aiming to export Halal wagyu to Indonesia, Malaysia and other Muslim countries” Nishiawa Beef Manager, Mr. Toshimitsu Nakatani.
