Acquisition Process for MPJA Muslim-Friendly Certification

There are two ways to obtain the MPJA Muslim-Friendly Certification, both of which require an on-site inspection and attendance at a mandatory seminar.

  1. In-House Development of a Halal Menu

If your company prepares its Halal menu in-house, all ingredients, including seasonings, will undergo a detailed inspection.

  • Inspection Method: Paper-based review of ingredient lists.
  • Timeline: The process typically takes 2 to 3 months from the time of application to final certification, depending on the number and complexity of ingredients used.
  1. Use of Pre-Cooked Halal Menu Items

For companies using pre-cooked Halal menu items (such as Halal-certified retort foods like curry or hamburger steak), we first verify the certification of the main items.

  • Additional Items: Ingredients in side dishes (e.g., salad, rice, soup) will also be inspected.
  • Timeline: Certification is generally completed within 1 to 1.5 months from the date of application.
